Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Project Manager / Project Engineer to lead NPI and NPD initiatives in a manufacturing environment, focusing on mechanical and manufacturing engineering. You will drive product design, process development, documentation, and continuous improvement to ensure manufacturability and successful launches.

The role requires 5+ years in project/manufacturing engineering, strong cross-functional coordination, and experience with ISO quality systems, DFMA, and ECOs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in project/manufacturing engineering.
• Strong project management capabilities with cross-functional coordination.
• Hands-on mechanical/manufacturing engineering in a product development setting.
• Proven ability to support NPD/NPI initiatives and manufacturing plans.
• Knowledge of ISO quality systems, DFMA, and documentation practices.
• Experience leading ECO processes and engineering change control.

Responsibilities

• Verify NPIs including BOMs, schematics, and prints are accurate for launch.
• Provide inputs for bidding, labor estimates, and scope-related costs.
• Assist with business development strategies to enable growth.
• Maintain ISO compliance across projects and engineering activities.
• Develop manufacturing processes, training materials, and specs for NPI.
• Lead design-to-manufacturing collaboration with internal/external teams.
• Conduct DFM/A to improve manufacturability and reduce complexity.
• Guide full product development from concept to manufacturing readiness.
• Provide engineering support to manufacturing during NPI and qualification/validation.
