Job summary

AVNA in Berlin, CT seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Lead to direct NPI design, continuous improvement, and quality systems for multiple projects. You will manage Manufacturing Engineers and drive efficiency, cost savings, and process optimization in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, mentoring, and strong collaboration with NPI and Project Management teams to successfully launch new programs and systems for each site.

Qualifications

• BS/BSET in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required.
• 5+ years of management experience as a manufacturing or new product development engineer, preferably in the medical device industry.
• Hands-on technical support in the Berlin, CT facility and New Britain, CT facility is required.
• Engineering skills surrounding tooling design, metal stamping/milling/turning/grinding, injection molding, laser processing, assembly processes.
• Proficient in SolidWorks (3D) and AutoCAD or DraftSight (2D).
• Experience with PPAP is preferred.
• Lean manufacturing / Six Sigma knowledge; green belt; familiarity with Minitab.
