Job summary

Rivian in Irvine, CA seeks an NPI Material Handling Analyst to optimize part inventory and supply flow from warehouses to the line side. You’ll identify shortages, bottlenecks, and coordinate with the broader supply chain for mitigation.

You’ll work with SAP/MRP, PLM, MES, and EWM tools, requiring strong Excel/Outlook skills, and a collaborative, process-driven approach in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience with MRP software such as SAP.
• College degree preferred.
• Strong skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• 1+ years experience with PLM interfaces to MRP.
• Experience with MES and EWM is preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Team oriented with cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to present detailed and summary reports.

Responsibilities

• Manage material flow and drive inventory control.
• Provide kitting plan direction to group leaders.
• Support build sequence and schedule for vehicles.
• Monitor pull systems for proper lineside supply and tracking.
• Resolve floor problems (min/max, packing, labeling, discrepancies).
• Oversee disposition of scrap and replaced parts.
• Interface with program leads to understand BOM content.
• Coordinate new part delivery forecasts with NPI planning.
• Arrange replacement orders for miss-builds and scrap units.
• Audit internal controls and reports.
• Maintain build sequence rules to boost assembly productivity.
• Set cycle count cadence and report status.
• Issue daily material status to build and planning teams.
