Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Staff Analyst, Inventory Optimization in Michigan to develop and implement strategies that optimize inventory levels across the service parts organization. You will analyze complex demand and supply datasets, manage inventory parameters to meet target fill rates, minimize holding costs, and reduce obsolescence risk with autonomy and project leadership.

The role requires strong analytical skills, deep knowledge of inventory management, and proficiency with Servigistics and ERP

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Statistics, Finance, or a related analytical field.
• Masters preferred, or related advanced degree.
• 3-5+ years of inventory management or supply chain planning experience.
• Proven experience in demand forecasting, inventory modeling, and statistical analysis.
• Strong proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and planning/inventory optimization software.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, Power Query, macros).
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to lead projects independently.

Responsibilities

• Advanced Inventory Analysis & Modeling: refine inventory parameters across network.
• Lead scenario and what-if simulations in Servigistics to meet strategic goals.
• Develop inventory allocation strategies to improve fill rates and reduce costs.
• Performance Monitoring & Reporting: track targets, analyze deviations, and perform root-cause analysis.
• Create dashboards and reports for visibility into inventory levels and trends.
• Governance and insights into part groupings performance in the planning tool.
• Process Improvement & System Utilization: champion continuous improvement in planning processes.
• Lead testing and deployment of new features in Servigistics with cross-team collaboration.
