Job summary

VulcanForms Inc. in Massachusetts is seeking a Manufacturing Systems Engineer for our Consumer Technology unit to build the manufacturing execution foundation for launch, transfer, and scale products.

The role owns creation and coordination of manufacturing system inputs, documentation, part number structure, methods of manufacture, travelers, routers, and data requirements to enable controlled, traceable, and repeatable production.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; 3+ years in NPI or manufacturing systems.
Experience creating travelers, routers, instructions, and Methods of Manufacture.
Experience with ERP, MES, PLM, QMS and related data systems.
Strong cross-functional communication and documentation discipline.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain manufacturing execution documentation (Methods of Manufacture, travelers, routers, work instructions).
Translate drawings, specs, BOMs and customer requirements into clear shop floor docs with defined operations and inspection points.
Support pilot builds, first article/validation builds, and launch readiness reviews; close gaps posing risk.
Coordinate part number, BOM, and routing creation/maintenance across Epicor, MES, and related systems.
Partner with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Planning, and IT to define and enforce data quality standards and naming conventions.
Define manufacturing system requirements and data capture needs to support Epicor/MES configurations.
Support system testing, UAT, validation, training, and integration across Epicor, MES, QMS, and PLM.
Serve as NPI/BU cross-functional interface to align documentation and system readiness.
