Job summary

VulcanForms Inc. in Massachusetts is seeking an NPI Manufacturing Process Development Engineer I, Consumer Technology, to advance production-ready processes translating customer designs into high-quality parts.

You will work under senior engineers on laser printing, post‑print operations, data analysis, and DFAM collaboration to ensure process stability and repeatability. You'll gain hands-on experience in additive manufacturing, materials processing, and data-driven development while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
• Foundational data analysis and interpretation skills.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, heat transfer.
• Knowledge of statistics or DOE/ SPC basics.
• Ability to apply fundamentals to routine problems and escalate when needed.
• Effective communication and team collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with CAD/drafting and manufacturing docs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development, documentation, and improvement of 3D digital manufacturing processes.
• Execute defined experiments and tests to evaluate parameters and properties.
• Collect and analyze manufacturing data; communicate findings to team.
• Support monitoring of process performance and deviations.
• Help investigate defects and document observations.
• Create and maintain engineering docs and SOPs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address issues.
• Support DFAM activities with established guidelines.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Build knowledge of additive manufacturing technologies and procedures.
