Job summary

MKS Instruments is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for New Product Development in Massachusetts. You will collaborate with Product Development Engineering to bridge design and manufacturing, enabling rapid prototypes for early customer builds.

You will develop manufacturing processes, create work instructions and routings in MES, and drive process improvements across multiple production areas while leading automation initiatives and ensuring smooth transfers to production.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical/Software engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in a mixed production environment.
• Knowledge of SPC and process control implementation.
• Lean manufacturing methodologies.
• Experience leading PFMEA and DFX activities.

Responsibilities

• Bridge product design and manufacturing for NPI.
• Develop manufacturing processes for new products.
• Create MES work instructions and routings.
• Establish manufacturing processes across production areas.
• Identify automation opportunities and drive improvements.
• Plan and execute transfer to manufacturing.
