Job summary

VulcanForms Inc. in Massachusetts is seeking an Associate NPI Manufacturing Equipment Development Engineer, Consumer Technology, to drive deployment, commissioning, and ongoing stability of our industrial hardware infrastructure for our consumer technology business.

You will own equipment selection, initial unboxing, and facility integration through strict IQ/OQ/PQ, with a diverse asset matrix including metal additive systems and automation.

Qualifications

• Experience with IQ/OQ/PQ protocols and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Hands-on with at least two major industrial equipment categories (e.g., CNC/EDM machining, vacuum/heat treatment, automation).
• Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Manufacturing/Industrial/Robotics Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end deployment, site integration, and qualification (IQ/OQ/SAT) of diverse industrial manufacturing equipment such as Metal 3D Printers and furnaces.
• Lead equipment selection and procurement; design machine fixturing and workholding solutions.
• Interface with external equipment manufacturers for timelines, installation, and troubleshooting.
• Define metrics to maximize OEE and uptime while minimizing MTBF and MTTR.
• Create SOPs, maintenance schedules, and logs; train production staff.
• Collaborate with Facilities, EHS, Quality, and Process Engineering to safely integrate modules into factory layouts and enterprise networks.
