Job summary

Formlabs in Somerville, MA, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive readiness of new products from prototype to mass production. You will work with R&D to optimize DF(M) and DFA, establish production controls, and partner with contract manufacturers worldwide.

The ideal candidate has 1-3 years in design/manufacturing engineering for NPI, experience with electromechanical systems, and strong communication.

Qualifications

1–3 years in Design and Manufacturing Engineering for complex NPI product industrialization.
Experience with global contract manufacturers bringing electromechanical systems from prototype to mass production.
Independent, proactive with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Drive manufacturing technical readiness as a critical member of NPI teams, collaborating with R&D to move from prototype to production.
Drive DFM and DFA for product, system, and process design.
Establish production readiness and collaborate with Formlabs, contract manufacturers, and suppliers.
Ensure product specs are met through process controls and robust manufacturing methods.
Collaborate across functions to address engineering and operational challenges.
Drive process optimization using factory data to improve capabilities at suppliers and contract manufacturers.
