Job summary

Formlabs in Somerville, MA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to prototype mechanisms, test materials, and iterate electro-mechanical systems for desktop 3D printers. You will design parts in CAD (SolidWorks/Onshape), build assemblies, and craft production drawings for mass production.

• Experience in electro-mechanical system development and testing.

Responsibilities

• Prototype new mechanisms, test materials, and research 3D printing challenges.
• Analyze, test, validate and iterate on electro-mechanical systems.
• Create detailed designs in CAD with precise drawings for production.
• Collaborate with Global Sourcing and Manufacturing to scale from prototype to mass production.
