Job summary

Formlabs is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive readiness of NPI programs and scale electromechanical systems from prototype to mass production. You will collaborate with R&D, suppliers, and contract manufacturers to ensure DFx, process control, and production readiness across global teams.

Ideal candidates have a B.S. in engineering and 1–3 years in manufacturing engineering for complex products, with travel 10–20% and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in design and manufacturing engineering for complex NPI product industrialization
• 1–3 years with global contract manufacturers bringing electromechanical systems from prototype to mass production
• Independent, self-starter with strategic thinking and execution and strong attention to detail
• Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication; able to present at all business levels
• Willingness to travel internationally & domestically ~10–20%

Responsibilities

• Drive manufacturing readiness as a key member of NPI teams, collaborating with R&D to move from prototype to completion
• Drive DFM/DFM in support of product, system, and process design
• Establish production readiness while collaborating with Formlabs teams, contract manufacturers, and suppliers
• Ensure critical product specifications are addressed through processes and control points
• Collaborate cross-functionally on complex engineering and operational challenges
• Drive process control and preventive actions; implement tools and methods for reliability and quality
• Drive optimization and continuous improvement using factory data at suppliers and contract manufacturers
