Job summary
Carrier Global Corporation is seeking an NPI Engineering Manager to lead the New Product Introduction engineering team, overseeing industrialization, validation, and launch readiness from early design input through ramp. You will collaborate with Design Engineering, Program Management, Manufacturing, Quality and Supply Chain daily to ensure on-time, on-cost, quality-ready production.
The role requires 8+ years in NPI/manufacturing with leadership experience and strong APQP/PPAP/process
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s in Engineering with 6–8+ years in NPI/manufacturing.
- Experience leading engineering teams (3+ years).
- 5+ years applying APQP, PFMEA, control plans, PPAP, process validation.
- 3+ years managing launches to gates (pilot builds to ramp).
Responsibilities
- Lead NPI engineering team; set priorities and resources.
- Own manufacturing and launch readiness from design input through ramp.
- Represent Operations in phase-gate/design reviews with readiness evidence.
- Own APQP, PFMEA, control plans, PPAP and process-validation execution.
- Direct industrialization of new lines; manpower, layout and equipment.
- Plan and execute capital/tooling projects with vendors; run-off to rate.
- Manage budgets, resources, schedules and risk mitigation.
- Drive supplier readiness with Supply Chain and Quality.
- Coordinate pilot runs, validation builds and transfer to production.
- Establish routings, standard work and operator training.
