Job summary
The Pivot Group Network in Kentwood, MI is seeking an experienced NPI Engineer to lead transfer of new products from design to manufacturing and to develop robust manufacturing processes. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field and at least 3 years in NPI within manufacturing, with CAD (SolidWorks/AutoCAD) and PLM (Windchill/Agile)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in NPI within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and PLM systems (Windchill, Agile).
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including assembly, machining, and fabrication.
- Experience with DFM and DFA principles.
- Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., RCA, 8D).
Responsibilities
- Lead the transfer of new products from design to manufacturing.
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for new products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches.
- Conduct design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) reviews.
- Define and implement quality control plans for new products.
- Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues during pilot production.
- Document and maintain manufacturing process instructions and specifications.
