Job summary
The Pivot Group Network in Grand Haven, MI is seeking an NPI Engineer to lead the transfer of new products from design to manufacturing and to optimize processes for high-volume production. You will collaborate with R&D and design teams, perform DFM/DFA reviews, define manufacturing control plans, and lead pilot builds while resolving NPI issues.
Bachelor's in Electrical or Computer Engineering and 3+ years in NPI/manufacturing are required; CAD tools like Altium, OrCAD, and SolidWorks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical/computer engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in NPI or manufacturing engineering in high-volume environments.
- Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout review using CAD tools.
Responsibilities
- Lead transfer of new products from design to manufacturing.
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for new products.
- Collaborate with R&D and design teams to ensure manufacturability.
- Conduct DFM/DFA reviews and provide feedback for product design.
- Define and implement manufacturing control plans for new product introduction.
- Manage pilot production builds and validate manufacturing processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues during NPI phase.
- Document NPI processes, work instructions, and manufacturing specifications.
