Job summary
The Pivot Group Network is partnering with Fremont-based manufacturers to identify skilled NPI Engineers for upcoming opportunities. The role focuses on transferring products from design to production, optimizing designs for manufacturability and cost, and establishing robust manufacturing processes and validation activities to ensure quality.
Ideal candidates have 3+ years in NPI in manufacturing, strong CAD/PLM familiarity (SolidWorks/AutoCAD, Agile, Teamcenter), and proven problem-solving
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
- 3+ years of NPI engineering experience in manufacturing environments.
- Ability to interpret engineering specs, schematics, and design documents.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including assembly, test, and quality control.
Responsibilities
- Drive the transfer of new products from design to manufacturing.
- Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to optimize manufacturability and cost.
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment for new products.
- Conduct IQ/OQ/PQ to ensure product quality and reliability.
- Identify and mitigate manufacturing risks throughout the NPI lifecycle.
- Lead continuous improvement for existing processes and products.
- Support pilot runs and resolve issues during ramp-up.
