Job summary
The Pivot Group Network is actively seeking an NPI Engineer to transfer new products from R&D to manufacturing in the Mattawan, MI area. This role focuses on defining manufacturing processes and ensuring producibility and testability while partnering with design engineers to smooth the product introduction lifecycle.
Ideal candidates bring a bachelor’s in a technical field, 3+ years in manufacturing (electronics preferred), CAD experience (Altium/Eagle/OrCAD), and familiarity with PLM/ERP
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with electronics assembly.
- Experience with CAD software for PCB design and layout.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, DFM principles, and quality control methodologies.
- Experience with scripting languages for automation and data analysis.
- Familiarity with PLM/ERP systems for managing product data and BOMs.
Responsibilities
- Lead the transfer of new products from R&D to manufacturing.
- Define and optimize manufacturing processes for new product introductions.
- Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability and testability.
- Develop and implement production control plans and quality assurance procedures.
- Manage and mitigate risks associated with new product launches.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for NPI issues.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for NPI processes and tools.
