Job summary

The Pivot Group Network in DeWitt, MI is seeking an NPI Engineer to lead the transfer of new products from design to manufacturing and to develop scalable processes for high-volume production.

Ideal candidates will combine a strong technical foundation in electrical engineering with hands-on experience in PCB design, PCBA assembly, and tooling automation. This role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with R&D and design teams to ensure manufacturability and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
• 3+ years of NPI or manufacturing engineering in high-volume environment.
• Proficiency in CAD software for PCB design and schematic capture.
• Strong understanding of PCBA assembly, test, and validation.
• Experience with scripting or programming languages (Python, C#) for automation/data analysis.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead the transfer of new products from design to manufacturing.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for new product introduction.
• Collaborate with R&D and design teams to ensure manufacturability of new products.
• Create and maintain detailed manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and BOMs.
• Identify and implement solutions for manufacturing challenges during NPI phases.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for NPI-related issues.
• Support pilot builds and first article inspections for new products.
