Job summary

The Pivot Group Network is actively connecting West Michigan manufacturers with NPI engineers who can lead new product introductions from design through launch. This role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with R&D, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure manufacturability and timely product availability.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in NPI within manufacturing, strong PCB CAD skills, and experience with Python for automation and data analysis.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
3+ years of NPI engineering in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency with PCB CAD tools (Altium, OrCAD, Eagle).
Strong understanding of DFM/DFA principles and quality control.
Experience with scripting languages (Python) for automation/data analysis.
Ability to read schematics, Gerber files, and assembly drawings.

Responsibilities

Drive the successful transfer of new products from design to manufacturing.
Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to ensure manufacturability and resolve technical issues.
Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, including tooling and equipment selection.
Create and maintain detailed manufacturing documentation, such as work instructions and process flows.
Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for NPI-related production issues.
Participate in design reviews to provide DFM/DFA feedback and ensure product launch readiness.
Manage and track NPI project timelines and deliverables to meet launch schedules.
