AMETEK's Gatan business unit in Pleasanton, CA seeks an NPI Engineer / Document Control Specialist to support PCB-based product lines from release through sustaining engineering. You will collaborate with design, manufacturing, CM and vendors to ensure accurate schematic validation, BOM accuracy, ECO/ECR execution, and compliant documentation.

Competenze

• Associate's Degree required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an NPI role with demonstrated success releasing and maintaining PCB-based product lines.
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Experience with OrCAD and Agile integration is a plus.

Mansioni

• Interface with design engineers to coordinate new product releases.
• Liaise between engineering, manufacturing, CM and vendors during R&D activities.
• Support schematic development by creating/validating symbols, generating/verifying netlists, and identifying design rule errors.
• Review OrCAD schematics for symbol validity, design rule compliance, and netlist accuracy.
• Resolve electrical engineering issues during and after product release.
• Collaborate with manufacturers to address electrical and product-related issues.
• Maintain PCA and PCB documentation and processes.
• Enter and manage ECO documentation within the PLM system, preferably Agile.
• Support ECR and ECO execution processes.
• Generate assembly instructions with step-by-step procedures and graphics using PowerPoint.
• Review BOMs for accuracy and obsolescence; identify substitutes.
• Maintain electrical parts library information.
• Support obsolescence management and compliance documentation.
• Assist sustaining engineering efforts for released products.
• Demonstrate use of AI tools to improve productivity and cost efficiency.
• Identify AI use cases and evaluate AI outputs.
