Job summary

Corporate Connections LLC is seeking an experienced Design Engineering Manager to oversee a diverse team responsible for design, build, test, troubleshoot, and repairs across electronics products.

You will lead NPI and development, drive CI projects, and manage cost/quality metrics while coordinating with customers and stakeholders. A strong PCB/firmware background and CAD tool proficiency are essential. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of related experience, or equivalent education.
• Experience supervising and leading an engineering group or team.
• Strong knowledge of interfacing signals: Bluetooth, Wireless CDMA, GSM, PLC platforms.
• Knowledge of Microprocessor Embedded Firmware Development, PCBA firmware and software programming.
• Knowledge of CAD tools required.
• Knowledge of Altium PCB Software.
• Experience with LabVIEW, PLC, SolidWorks.
• Proficient in reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Hands-on troubleshooting of electrical systems and soldering.

Responsibilities

• Manages design engineering team with coaching, performance reviews, and disciplinary action as needed.
• Provides engineering leadership throughout NPI and development process.
• Drive accountability and delivery of projects to meet launch commitments.
• Facilitate CI projects and problem solving.
• Drive cost, quality, and productivity improvements in design and manufacturing.
• Execute and manage capital and noncapital projects (NPI, cost reduction, transitions).
• Interface with customers and participate in system/field testing.
• Ensure documentation and QMS compliance.
• Redesigns and upgrades PCB designs as components become obsolete.
