Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to support Kerk motion control products, coordinating prototype and NPI projects, ECOs, and documentation across Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams.

You will act as a liaison between Kerk operations and Applications Engineering to ensure timely technical communication. The ideal candidate has a mechanical/engineering background with 2–5 years in engineering or product development, is proficient with SolidWorks and PLM/PDM systems, and can

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• 2–5 years in engineering, manufacturing, product development, or technical project support.
• Experience supporting custom-engineered, engineered-to-order, or configure-to-order products preferred.
• Experience with low-to-medium volume manufacturing environments preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills across cross-functional teams.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with understanding of precision motion control products.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating prototype, sample, and NPI projects from order receipt through shipment, ensuring materials, schedules, and documentation are properly managed.
• Liaising between Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, and Applications Engineering for timely communication of technical information.
• Creating, revising, and maintaining engineering drawings, specifications, product configurations, and manufacturing documentation.
• Supporting ECOs with documentation, changes, reviews, and release.
• Maintaining documentation and revision-controlled records in PDM and related systems.
• Assisting Manufacturing Engineering with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and process improvements.
• Coordinating inspections and validation activities for prototypes and samples.
• Providing technical support for prototype builds, new product introductions, and production implementation.
