Job summary

The Pivot Group Network in Newaygo, MI is seeking an NPI Engineer to drive transfer from design to manufacturing and collaborate with R&D and production teams to optimize product designs for manufacturability. You will establish processes, tooling, and documentation to support successful launches.

Qualified candidates have 3+ years in NPI within manufacturing, CAD proficiency (SolidWorks/AutoCAD), and PLM/PDM experience.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) within a manufacturing environment.
Proficient with CAD software for design review and manufacturability analysis.
Experience with PLM/PDM systems for managing product data and workflows.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications.
Strong problem-solving skills and root cause analysis in production.

Responsibilities

Drive the successful transfer of new products from design to manufacturing.
Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing to optimize product designs for manufacturability.
Develop and implement manufacturing processes, including tooling, fixtures, and equipment.
Conduct process validation and qualification activities to ensure product quality and reliability.
Identify and resolve manufacturing issues during the new product introduction phase.
Create and maintain manufacturing documentation such as work instructions and process flows.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency and reduce costs.
