Baltimore Aircoil Company, Inc. seeks a Designer Engineer to join the Global Engineering Group and deliver complex designs for new products. You will ensure functionality, manufacturability, and compliance with design standards with hands-on prototype work and cross-functional collaboration.

You will own DFMEA, participate in agile development, and lead investigations to implement corrective actions. Periodic travel to BAC facilities is required as projects progress.

Qualifikationen

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience in design/manufacturing.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling software (Autodesk Inventor or equivalent) and Excel.
• Proficiency in reading electrical schematic drawings.
• DFMA design (design for manufacturing & assembly).
• Hands-on prototype building and testing experience.
• Autodesk Vault or equivalent system knowledge.

Aufgaben

• Design and develop product concepts for the assigned NPI program.
• Design complex sub-assemblies and modules per design intent and standards.
• Assess impact on subsystems, parts and assemblies; document scope, feasibility and cost.
• Own the DFMEA process and resolutions.
• Test and validate concepts, prototypes and initial production units.
• Lead issue resolutions and corrective actions.
• Apply Agile/Scrum to iterative development of new products.
• Lead cross-functional discussions to resolve design and performance issues.
• Present progress to stakeholders and leadership.
• Support product improvement, cost-out opportunities, and warranty issues.
• Travel periodically to BAC manufacturing facilities for prototypes or pilot builds.
