Job summary

Baltimore Aircoil Company (BAC) is seeking a Thermal Engineer to join the Global Thermal Modeling Group. This role focuses on developing thermal models for BAC’s product lines, supporting NPI, certification, and product optimization.

You will work with cross-functional teams, applying thermodynamics and heat transfer principles, and contribute to tool development, data reduction, and DOE studies. Travel to global centers may be required.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with strong emphasis on heat and mass transfer, fluid mechanics and thermodynamics.
• Masters preferred; P.E. a plus.
• Experience in thermal modeling for heat rejection equipment and HVAC/refrigeration systems is valued.

Responsibilities

• Develop thermal performance models, prediction software tools, and rating programs.
• Provide thermal engineering support to NPI and prototype testing.
• Participate in thermal certification activities with third-party testers.
• Improve thermal modeling tools and software to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Support sustaining engineering for existing products and nonstandard configurations.
• Prepare reports and present complex findings to internal and external stakeholders.
