Job summary

Dover Food Retail (DFR) is seeking an NPD Industrial Engineer to drive industrialization and manufacturing readiness for new products and changes. You will bridge Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Sourcing, and Operations to translate designs into scalable, cost-effective manufacturing processes.

The role covers ECP development, DFMA, process validation, pilot builds, PPAP activities, and cross-functional readiness reviews throughout Stage-Gate, with travel as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
• Minimum five years of experience in product industrialization, manufacturing engineering, or related fields.
• Experience in engineering change implementation and manufacturing readiness.

Responsibilities

• Lead industrialization activities for NPD, design-to-value, and product changes through launch and stabilization.
• Own Engineering Change Plan development and execution, including sequencing and inventory disposition.
• Coordinate between Product Engineering and Operations to translate designs into scalable processes.
• Lead feasibility, DFM/DFA, process risk reviews, tooling, and line readiness during Stage-Gate.
• Develop launch plans covering process flow, workstations, equipment, fixtures, and routings.
• Oversee prototypes, pilot builds, PPAP activities, and process validation.
• Drive cross-functional readiness reviews and define entrance/exit criteria for pilots and launches.
• Manage inventory disposition decisions and ensure accurate documentation.
• Ensure BOMs, routings, drawings, work instructions, and PLM/ERP updates before production.
