Dover Food Retail is seeking an NPD Industrial Engineer in South Chesterfield, VA to drive industrialization from design to production launch. You will coordinate across Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to translate new designs into scalable, cost-efficient processes.

Key responsibilities include leading ECP development, supporting PPAP activities, and ensuring readiness through Stage-Gate reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in product industrialization, manufacturing engineering, or engineering-change implementation.

Responsabilités

• Lead industrialization activities for New Product Development from design development through production launch.
• Own Engineering Change Plan (ECP) development, sequencing, validation, and manufacturing readiness.
• Serve as liaison between Product Engineering and Operations to translate designs into repeatable manufacturing processes.
• Lead manufacturing feasibility, DFM/DFA, process risk, and cost reviews through Stage-Gate.
• Develop launch plans covering process flow, equipment, tooling, and work instructions.
• Coordinate prototypes, pilot builds, PPAP activities, and process validation.
• Lead cross-functional manufacturing-readiness reviews and define entry/exit criteria.
• Define inventory disposition and ensure BOMs, routings, and documentation are updated before production.
• Drive structured problem solving and corrective actions for issues during pilots and ramp-up.
• Monitor FPY, throughput, and other metrics to ensure launch success.
• Lead first-unit and first-lot controls and close ECPs with ownership established.
• Handoff to Manufacturing, Product Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain with clear ownership.
• Capture lessons learned and continuously improve industrialization standards.
