Job summary

Dover is seeking an NPD Industrial Engineer to drive manufacturing-readiness for new products and engineering changes at our South Chesterfield, VA facility. You will bridge Product Engineering and Manufacturing, translating designs into safe, scalable processes and coordinating prototypes, validations, and launches.

The role requires five years of experience in product industrialization, strong knowledge of DFx, PFMEA, control plans, and execution of engineering-change plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum five years of experience in product industrialization, manufacturing engineering, or engineering-change implementation within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead industrialization activities for New Product Development from design through production launch and stabilization.
• Own ECP development and execution including implementation sequence, training, validation, and manufacturing readiness.
• Serve as liaison between Product Engineering and Operations to translate designs into repeatable, scalable manufacturing processes.
• Lead DFM/DFA, process risk reviews, capacity, tooling, and cost reviews throughout the Stage-Gate process.
• Develop industrialization and launch plans covering process flow, workstations, equipment, and line readiness.
• Coordinate prototypes, pilot builds, pre-production builds, first-article inspections, and PPAP activities.
