Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking an NPD Industrial Engineer to drive industrialization from design to launch at the South Chesterfield site in Virginia. The role bridges Product Engineering and Operations to ensure manufacturability, quality, and cost targets are met.

You will own ECP planning, lead DFMA reviews, and manage pilot builds, PPAP, and ramp-up activities with a focus on process stability and scalable manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Minimum five years in product industrialization or manufacturing engineering.
• Experience with PPAP, ECP, and change-management processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead industrialization activities for new product development from design to launch.
• Own ECP development, sequencing, dates, and training.
• Coordinate between Product Engineering and Operations to translate designs into producible processes.
• Lead feasibility, DFM/DFMA, process risk, tooling, and line readiness reviews.
• Drive pilot builds, PPAP, and ramp-up activities; establish exit criteria.
