Job summary

Clopay Corporation in Mason, Ohio, seeks a New Product Development Engineering Supervisor to lead a team of mechanical engineers in designing, testing, and launching commercial and residential doors. You will drive project tracking, oversee the Gate Process, and mentor engineers to ensure timely delivery of high‑quality designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7–10 years in product development engineering; 1–3 years in lead/supervisory role.
• Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring of engineers.
• Strong proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and product data management.
• Understanding of GD&T, stack‑up analysis, and DFM.
• Hands‑on experience with rapid prototyping (3D printing, CNC, soft tooling).
• Experience leading teams through a structured Gate Process (Stage-Gate).
• Familiarity with ECO processes and production readiness.
• Experience with Jira, MS Project or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Drive project tracking and coordinated execution for the Mason team.
• Guide and facilitate the Gate Process through concept to launch.
• Help implement Autodesk Inventor & Vault across the team.
• Provide design and engineering support as needed to progress projects.
• Accelerate fast prototyping and concept validation.
• Build and scale the Mason Technology Center with required equipment.
• Supervise team alignment and provide daily mentorship.
• Foster a positive, innovative culture and recognize milestones.
