Job summary

Clopay Corporation invites a New Product Procurement Specialist to join our Mason, Ohio team. You will collaborate with Design Engineering to select suppliers, optimize part designs, and manage early supplier involvement for new products.

Responsibilities include prototyping support, cost modeling, and supplier negotiations to meet project milestones while ensuring supply chain resilience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (SCM, business, or industrial engineering).
• 3–5 years in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain with NPI/engineering sourcing.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and BOMs.
• Experience with ERP/RP systems (SAP/Oracle), PLM, and advanced Excel.
• Proven cost-reduction and supplier-negotiation track record.

Responsibilities

• Partner with design teams to optimize supplier tech and manufacturability.
• Manage rapid-turn quotations and prototype tooling purchases.
• Perform TCO analysis and cost modeling for new components.
• Identify and qualify strategic suppliers; establish dual-sourcing.
• Coordinate transfer of tooling and pricing to sustaining team, monitor ramp-up.
