Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. seeks an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) to deliver patient-centered, coordinated care within a hospital-based setting.

The APN will lead and collaborate with the practice/hospital team to assess, plan, and implement care for individuals with health and safety needs, with wound ostomy nurse practitioner preferred. The role emphasizes leadership, direct clinical practice, consultation, coaching, research, and ethical decision-making.

Qualifications

• The candidate must hold a Master's or Doctorate from an NLN/AACN accredited NP program.
• Current, unrestricted NJ RN license and NJ APRN license; national NP certification (AANP/ANCC).
• Prescriptive authority in NJ with active CDS and DEA registrations; BLS (AHA).
• Proven experience in a relevant patient care setting; NPI active.
• Collaborative practice agreement with a staff physician must be in place; excellent communication.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite; commitment to ongoing education.
• ACLS certification required; ACLS in addition to BLS.

The APN works collaboratively with the practice/hospital team to assess, plan, and implement care for individuals with health and safety needs. Wound ostomy Nurse Practitioner Preferred.

Required Qualifications

• Education:

  • Must hold a Master's or Doctorate degree from an NLN/AACN accredited Nurse Practitioner program.

• Licensure & Certifications:

  • Current, unrestricted NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
  • Current, unrestricted NJ Advanced Practice Nurse License.
  • National board certification as a Nurse Practitioner from the AANP or ANCC.
  • Valid prescriptive authority in New Jersey, including active CDS and DEA registrations.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Proven experience in a relevant patient care setting.
  • A collaborative practice agreement with a staff physician must be in place.
  • Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computer platforms, including Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.
  • A demonstrated commitment to maintaining clinical competencies through ongoing education and practice.

• Certifications:

  • AHA Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
