Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. seeks a Solid Tumor Float Oncology Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) to deliver patient-centered, coordinated care within a multidisciplinary team at the John Theurer Cancer Center.

The APN will assess, plan, and implement care for oncology patients, while leading, coaching, and collaborating with physicians and staff. The role requires an NLN/AACN accredited nursing education, graduate NP degree, and NJ licensure with prescriptive authority.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program.
• Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education and clinical practice.
• Experience in a relevant patient care setting (or as regulations dictate).
• National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Prescriptive authority through CDS and DEA registration according to New Jersey state law.
• Collaborative agreement with physicians on staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that include Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

The Solid Tumor Float Oncology Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) utilizes a patient-centered coordinated care model, demonstrating competencies in leadership, direct clinical practice, consultation/collaboration, coaching/guiding, research, and ethical decision-making. The APN works collaboratively with the practice/hospital team to assess, plan, and implement care for individuals with health and safety needs.
