Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks a Solid Tumor Float Oncology Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) to lead patient-centered care with strong leadership, collaboration, and research focus. The APN will assess, plan, and implement care in hematology/oncology settings, coordinating with the healthcare team and utilizing evidence-based practice.

The role requires NJ NP licensure with CDS/DEA prescriptive authority, and commitment to education, ethics, and quality improvement within a dynamic cancer center.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program.
• Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education and clinical practice.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document history and physical assessments appropriate for age/gender/clinical problem.
• Prescribe medication and provide patient education per NJ regulations.
• Collaborate with physicians to manage medical/surgical conditions and plan care.
• Contribute to nursing-led protocol development and organizational quality improvement.
• Mentor APNs and precept students in APN programs.
