Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. seeks an experienced Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) for a busy outpatient oncology practice.

The APN will provide direct clinical care, collaborate with the team, and coordinate patient care across divisions including breast, thoracic, GI, sarcoma/melanoma, head and neck, and GU. The role requires current NJ NP licensure, prescriptive authority, and ACLS/BLS certifications, with oncology experience and certification a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program.
• Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education and clinical practice.
• Experience in a relevant patient care setting (or as regulations dictate).
• National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Prescriptive authority through CDS and DEA registration according to New Jersey state law.
• Collaborative agreement with physicians on staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical care as an Advanced Practice Nurse in a busy outpatient oncology setting.
• Collaborate with the practice/hospital team to assess, plan, and implement patient care.
• Float between divisions (breast, thoracic, GI, sarcoma, head and neck, GU) to cover PTO.

Job description

The Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) utilizes a patient-centered coordinated care model, demonstrating competencies in leadership, direct clinical practice, consultation/collaboration, coaching/guiding, research, and ethical decision-making. The APN works collaboratively with the practice/hospital team to assess, plan, and implement care for individuals with health and safety needs.

Schedule will be (4) -10 hour days in a busy outpatient oncology office

Seeking experienced Nurse Practitioner solid tumor diseases to float between divisions such as breast, thoracic, GI, sarcoma/melanoma, head and neck, GU.

Two different 10 hours days each week to cover PTO.

Oncology experience preferred

Oncology certification a plus
