Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. seeks a Per Diem Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) to provide patient-centered care within the Oncology/Leukemia/Bone Marrow Transplant setting. The APN will lead and collaborate with the care team to assess, plan, and implement treatment plans for patients with complex needs.

Preferred experience includes Oncology/Leukemia/BMT. This per diem role emphasizes no weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements, with a focus on high-quality, ethical patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program.
• Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education and clinical practice.
• Experience in a relevant patient care setting.
• National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Prescriptive authority through CDS and DEA registration according to New Jersey state law.
• Collaborative agreement with physicians on staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes a patient-centered coordinated care model and collaborates with the practice/hospital team to assess, plan, and implement care.
• Provide leadership and direct clinical practice within Oncology/Leukemia/Bone Marrow Transplant settings.
• Coordinate care with specialty teams to meet health and safety needs of patients.
• Support research and ethical decision-making in clinical practice.

The Per Diem Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) utilizes a patient-centered coordinated care model, demonstrating competencies in leadership, direct clinical practice, consultation/collaboration, coaching/guiding, research, and ethical decision-making. The APN works collaboratively with the practice/hospital team to assess, plan, and implement care for individuals with health and safety needs.
