Job summary

The Children’s Guild seeks a Long-Term Substitute Teacher to maintain continuity of instruction during extended absences. You will deliver standards-based lessons under the Principal’s supervision and in coordination with the Teacher of Record, while upholding PBIS and school routines.

You will support student progress, communicate with families, and participate in PLCs and professional development. A bachelor’s degree is required and teaching certification is preferred or eligible.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; teaching credential preferred or eligible to obtain certification.
  • Previous classroom teaching or long-term substitute experience preferred.
  • Strong instructional, classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Promote an inclusive, equitable, and culturally responsive learning environment.

SummaryThe Long-Term Substitute Teacher serves as the classroom instructor during an extended teacher absence, maintaining continuity of instruction, classroom routines, and student learning. Working under the supervision of the Principal and in collaboration with the Teacher of Record, the Long-Term Substitute delivers standards-based instruction, manages the classroom environment, monitors student progress, collaborates with staff and families, and supports the school's mission and instructional goals.
