Job summary

HDR Engineering is seeking a Substation Project Manager to join our Power Delivery practice. Opportunities are available in multiple locations, including Boise.

You will manage substation projects from scope through closeout, coordinating with engineers, designers, and staff to ensure on-time delivery. You will lead QA/QC, mentor team members, and participate in business development with clients in the region and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7 years related experience.
• 2+ years project management experience.
• Strong collaboration with design teams and communication skills.
• PE/FE license preferred; PMP acceptable in lieu of PE.

Responsibilities

• Manage Substation projects of all sizes and complexities.
• Lead project team development, assignment, and scheduling.
• Ensure scope, schedule, budget, and quality control.
• Oversee non-engineering components like public involvement and permitting.
• Support marketing and proposal development with clients.
