Job summary

HDR is seeking a Northwest Hydropower Regulatory and Environmental Manager to lead and supervise the Northwest region team in environmental and regulatory work for licensing projects. You will coordinate with national leaders, manage complex relicensing programs, and mentor staff to deliver high-quality results.

The role requires extensive experience in environmental permitting and regulatory processes, strong leadership, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years of related experience.
• Professional registration or license may be required based on role.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments.
• Good leadership and organizational skills.
• Active participation in HDR's employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead Northwest Region hydropower environmental and regulatory efforts.
• Manage mid to large environmental/regulatory projects.
• Coordinate with HDR’s National Hydropower Practice leadership.
• Develop best practices and mentor staff.
• Provide project management for relicensing projects.
• Serve as Senior QA/QC for relicensing services.
• Support client meetings and public hearings as required.
• Travel as needed to project locations.
