Job summary

Purple Wave Auction is seeking a motivated Territory Sales Manager to cover Northern Illinois, focusing on the construction, ag, fleet, and government sectors. You will build strong relationships with equipment owners, educate clients on Purple Wave services, and drive auction activity across a wide regional footprint.

This full-time role requires extensive travel (up to 75%), a strong sales background, and a commitment to high ethical standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum three (3) years successful sales experience.
• Ability to travel extensively when required.
• Knowledge of construction, agriculture, fleet, or government industries.
• Ability to use CRM and other electronic sharing tools.
• Self-motivated with initiative to close deals.
• Excellent attention to detail, ethics, and interpersonal skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S. and pass background check.
• Must have a valid state driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners and potential customers to increase Purple Wave's visibility and brand recognition.
• Educate clients in territory about equipment auction services and how to use them to sell or buy used equipment.
• Gather and enter customer information and opportunities in CRM to maintain communication.
• Ensure successful execution and support of all phases of the auction process.
• Represent Purple Wave to heavy equipment owners, buyers, and sellers.
• Promote upcoming auctions through equipment promotion of inventory and packages.
• Manage buyer and seller relationships to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Respond to inbound sales inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Represent Purple Wave at trade shows and conferences to promote services.
• Undertake additional assigned duties as requested.
