Job summary

Veolia Water Tech in the U.S. Northeast region is seeking a Field Service Technician based in the Boston area to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate laboratory water purification systems at customer sites.

You will travel within the Greater Boston area and to CT, RI, NY, and Upstate NY, joining a 24/7 on-call schedule as needed while collaborating with Technical Support, Sales, and Customer Service to ensure top‑quality service.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, Biomedical Technology, Mechanical Technology, or related discipline (or equivalent field service experience).
• Minimum two years of field service experience installing, maintaining, and repairing technical equipment.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and electronic troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with customers at all levels.
• Organizational and time-management skills with multiple service calls.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, configure, and validate lab water purification systems per procedures and specs.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, calibrations, software updates, and verifications.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment failures at customer sites.
• Submit service reports, calibration docs, and other admin paperwork on time.
• Generate quotes for repairs, PMs, validations, and system upgrades.
• Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service to identify PMA renewal opportunities.
• Train customers on system operation and maintenance best practices.
