Job summary

Apex Tool Group is seeking a Territory Sales Manager to build and drive partnerships with distributors and end users in the NJ/NY metro area and New England. The role requires hands-on sales efforts to meet customer demands and outperform local competition, reporting to the Area Sales Manager.

The ideal candidate will cultivate relationships, leverage value-based selling, and collaborate with internal teams to achieve and exceed sales targets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of sales experience in industrial/manufacturing environments.
• Experience using value-based selling to drive sales and customer relationships.
• Ability to travel up to 50% and manage field activities.
• Knowledge of demand creation processes at end-user level.

Responsibilities

• Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with current and prospective customers to generate new business and exceed sales goals.
• Leverage value selling to understand customer needs and demonstrate viable solutions.
• Develop pull-through sales and marketing campaigns for key distributors.
• Maintain extensive product knowledge to present the full product line with technical detail.
• Develop an end-user funnel to convert to Apex Tool Group brands.
• Identify opportunities for sales process improvements based on territory feedback and competition.
• Collaborate with marketing, product development, operations, and customer service to drive metrics and maintain strong relationships.
