Job summary

Fortress Safety, Inc. is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer for the Northeast US corridor (Baltimore to Boston). This hybrid/remote role lets you be based in the territory; relocation to Kentucky is not required.

You will own the full sales cycle from prospecting to solution design and close, serving Machinery Safety, Warehouse Automation, and Food & Beverage customers. Bring a technical background, strong communication, and a proven record of new business development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electromechanical) or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience in a Sales Engineer/Technical consultant role.
• Proven track record of new business development and meeting sales targets.
• Background in Machinery Safety, Warehouse Automation, or Food & Beverage industries.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Consultative, solution-focused mindset with problem-solving ability.
• Willingness to travel within the Northeast territory up to 40%.

Responsibilities

• Prospect for new client opportunities in Machinery Safety, Warehouse Automation, and Food & Beverage sectors.
• Develop strategic plans to penetrate target markets and expand Fortress's footprint.
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads.
• Establish relationships with key technical decision-makers.
• Lead technical discovery sessions and design tailored proposals and demos.
• Serve as technical liaison between customers and internal teams.
