LANXESS is seeking a Director of Business Development NORAM based in Pittsburgh to lead strategic growth in custom manufacturing for pharmaceutical and biotech customers across North America. You will build executive-level partnerships, identify opportunities, and drive cross-functional initiatives with our European CDMO platform, delivering measurable revenue growth and long-term account development.

• 3–5 years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including CDMO exposure.
• Proven success in new business acquisition across North America.
• Strong networking, communication, and competitive intelligence skills.

• Identify, approach, and qualify new customers and project opportunities in defined pharmaceutical and biotechnology segments.
• Build market intelligence, account maps, and target lists for North America.
• Develop customer relationships and advance opportunities through technical and commercial evaluation.
• Cooperate with pharma sales and marketing to maximize customer acquisition.
• Identify opportunities for commercialization in adjacent custom manufacturing and catalog products.
• Maintain accurate CRM data, visit reports, opportunity tracking, and pipeline documentation.
• Strengthen market visibility through relevant trade fairs, conferences, and seminars.
