Job summary

Appian is seeking a Partner Technical Success Architect for North America to act as a trusted technical advisor to top-tier GSIs and enterprise partners. You will guide architecture, review designs for scalability and security, and mentor partner teams to deliver complex solutions using Appian.

This high-visibility role requires collaboration with Customer Success, Product Engineering, and partner leads, with up to 30% travel and a focus on scalable enterprise platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in Enterprise Software Architecture, with a proven track record of designing, building, and deploying large-scale, enterprise-grade systems.
• Deep proficiency in Database Design, API Integrations, Security Frameworks, Performance Tuning, and Cloud Deployment Models.
• Demonstrated experience collaborating with GSIs, regional systems integrators, and enterprise delivery teams across North America.
• Proven experience conducting architecture reviews, code reviews, and establishing engineering best practices for scalable enterprise platforms.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to command technical respect from partner executives and developer teams.
• Comfortable traveling up to 30% to visit key partner delivery teams, host technical masterclasses, and support critical on-site project discovery.

Responsibilities

• Guide partner delivery teams across North America to ensure their engineering practices and technical implementations align with Appian’s architectural standards.
• Review complex enterprise application designs for scalability, security, performance, and maintainability.
• Mentor partner technical leads, solution architects, and developers to build capable teams delivering complex applications.
• Collaborate with North American partner leads, Customer Success, and Technical Support to diagnose architecture and performance challenges on strategic accounts.
• Help create reusable design patterns, integration blueprints, and fixes that feed into Appian’s AI tooling for partners.
• Provide technical SME support across the global partner community via forums, Q&A sessions, training and certification assets.
• Work with Customer Success and Product Engineering to vet architecture designs for commercial robustness and repeatability.
