Job summary

Appian seeks a Global Partner Technical Success Director to define the global technical charter for the partner ecosystem and lead a high-caliber team across NA, EMEA, and India. You’ll align architecture with enterprise opportunities and drive partner delivery excellence.

The role reports to the Global Partner Experience Leader and coordinates with Enablement, Product Engineering, and Customer Success to drive curricula and governance. 30% travel possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of leadership experience in technical professional services, partner engineering, or technical alliance leadership within enterprise software companies.
• 3+ years of direct experience managing and scaling high-performing global teams of enterprise architects across multiple time zones (US, EMEA, India).
• Proven track record of designing, building, and operationalizing technical partner programs across GSIs and regional delivery hubs.
• Deep proficiency in Enterprise Software Architecture, platform infrastructure, cloud deployment, and large-scale digital transformation programs.
• Exceptional executive communication and negotiation skills, capable of commanding technical respect and building consensus with partner C-suite, Product Engineering, and Customer Success leadership.
• Comfortable traveling up to 30% to visit key partner delivery teams, host technical masterclasses, and support critical on-site project discovery.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a global organization of Partner Technical Success Architects across North America, EMEA, and India.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to define the global technical charter, operating framework, and engagement criteria for partner delivery.
• Serve as the senior technical sponsor on enterprise opportunities, ensuring architectural alignment across internal and partner teams.
• Co-chair governance boards to evaluate deals, capacity, regional performance, and strategic alignment.
• Oversee contributions to Appian’s AI tooling for partners with field intelligence and reusable templates.
• Guide development of advanced partner curricula and certification tracks and establish repeatable revenue-sharing frameworks.
