Job summary

Barings is seeking a visionary leader to head North American Insurance Solutions. The role combines strategy, client engagement and business growth across the US and Canada with a focus on capital efficiency and risk management.

As a Managing Director, you will shape investment solutions, lead cross-functional teams and partner with insurers to deliver bespoke strategies that align with regulatory and portfolio objectives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience within insurance asset management or related fields.
• Deep understanding of insurance balance sheets, capital frameworks and strategies.
• Strong knowledge of NAIC, RBC and insurance regulatory considerations.
• Proven ability to influence across complex organisations and lead cross-functional teams.
• Executive communication and client engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic client engagement with insurers across US, Bermuda and Canada.
• Serve as trusted advisor on capital management, portfolio construction and regulation.
• Deepen relationships and identify growth opportunities with Barings Client Group.
• Design bespoke insurance solutions leveraging Barings' investment platform.
• Collaborate with portfolio managers and structuring specialists to solve client challenges.
• Help insurers optimize portfolio returns, capital efficiency and risk management.
• Drive North American insurance asset management growth.
• Represent Barings through industry events and thought leadership.
