Job summary

Affinitas Education America invites applications for a Controller, U.S. & Canada, to lead accounting operations and financial reporting for a growing North American network of schools. You will drive month-end close, strengthen internal controls, and collaborate with regional leaders and finance colleagues to standardize processes.

A CPA and multi-entity experience are preferred. You will oversee budgeting, forecasting, and dashboards, ensuring compliant reporting and timely insights that

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• CPA designation strongly preferred.
• Significant experience in accounting, financial reporting, and controllership.
• Experience in multi-entity or multi-location organizations is valuable.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and month-end/year-end close oversight.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting operations and financial reporting for U.S. and Canadian operations.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes including GL reviews and reconciliations.
• Establish standardized accounting practices and reporting procedures across North America.
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow monitoring, and financial planning.
• Analyze results against budgets and forecasts and provide actionable insights.
• Develop reporting packages and dashboards for cross-entity visibility.
• Maintain internal controls, policies, and compliance with standards and tax obligations.
• Coordinate external audits and support regulatory reporting and risk management.
• Improve workflows and financial systems for accuracy and efficiency.
