Job summary

Institute of Management Accountants, Inc. seeks a Head of Finance North America to drive regional financial strategy and ensure strong controls and accurate reporting. You will partner with the regional President and Global CFO to lead the NA Finance team and deliver data-driven insights for executive decisions.

The role is hands-on and strategic, guiding SAP-based processes, budgeting, and governance as the organization expands in North America.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years in finance with 5+ years in a leadership role.
• Deep proficiency in US GAAP, management and tax accounting.
• ERP systems experience with SAP; strong MS Office and financial modeling.
• Hands-on leader capable of balancing strategy with operational execution.
• Strong communication skills with ability to present to diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the North America Finance team to enable regional expansion.
• Oversee day-to-day financial operations including AR/AP, payroll, project cost accounting, and GL.
• Optimize SAP-based accounting and reporting systems for scalability.
• Develop and maintain financial policies and internal controls to safeguard assets.
• Direct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in line with US GAAP and Group policies.
• Ensure regulatory compliance (SOX/SEC where applicable) and manage treasury/workings capital.
• Partner with regional President and Global CFO to provide financial modeling and strategic analysis.
• Oversee budgeting, variance analysis, and performance metrics.
• Serve as Co-Managing Director for Heliox Technology Inc., providing governance and leadership.
