Job summary

Ultimo, an IFS company, is seeking a senior Accounting & Control leader to own US financial integrity and compliance within our North American business. Based in the Eastern Time Zone, you will lead the month-end close, US GAAP alignment and sales/use tax oversight, collaborating with European Finance leadership for group reporting.

From day one you will direct the US accounting team, partner with HR on payroll and benefits accounting, and drive standardization with central Finance to keep

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• CPA is an advantage but not required.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and multi-state tax handling.
• Experience in SaaS or software companies and payroll/banking controls.

Responsibilities

• Own US month-end close and key balance sheet accounts for group reporting.
• Ensure US accounting aligns with group policy under IFRS and US GAAP adjustments as needed.
• Lead US sales and use tax across states and coordinate tax compliance with advisers.
• Maintain US finance calendar, liaise with auditors and authorities.
• Partner with HR on payroll, benefits accounting, and reconciliations.
• Oversee US treasury activities: cash forecasting and payments.
• Own project and commission accounting with FP&A and Sales.
• Input to intercompany accounting and FX revaluation as needed.
• Drive standardized processes with central Finance and lead the US accounting team.
