Job summary

Mt. Bachelor in Bend, Oregon is seeking an Outdoor Attendant to welcome guests to the Nordic trails and ensure the gate area and lodge exterior are safe for skier and snowshoer passage.

The Nordic Outdoor Attendant is responsible for trail access operations, safety, ticketing issues, crowd control, and guest service at the Nordic Ticket Gate. They will review the daily grooming report and event details and accurately communicate this information to guests.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and follow directions.
• Current hiring rate: $16.50/hr
• Minimum age: 18+

Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, and tear down crowd control gates and signs at the Nordic trail access area.
• Maintain clear and safe building entry/exit areas.
• Provide constant guest service while checking for valid trail passes.
• Effectively communicate while organizing a large crowd.
• Assist with ticket/pass issues and report fraud.
• Assist in snow and ice removal wherever and whenever necessary.
• Demonstrate safety awareness and maintain a safe work environment.
• Split kindling and haul wood.
